Some diners note that the seating could use a bit of TLC, as certain chairs might need repairs or replacements. While the overall cleanliness is commendable, a few patrons have mentioned that certain peak times lead to a bustling atmosphere that may feel cramped. Also, long queues, particularly during Friday dinner service, can result in longer wait times.
Despite the occasional hiccup, the value and quality of food generally outweigh these concerns. Although the menu has a wide variety, a few guests express a desire for more innovative dishes or seasonal specials to add excitement.
While staying local for a holiday we stopped for some eat in food. The waitress that attended to us was polite and served us quickly.. my partner had a prawn cocktail that was a good size and tasted great, me and my daughter had cod and chips.. the fish was very good quality, very flaky and a good size. chips and sides were also fine. Would recommend and can't fault the place
Great fish and chips, crispy batter and white fluffy cod. The tinned roe was doubled up ( 2 slices instead of 1 ) at no extra cost. Lovely smiling lady serving. Very reasonable price. What's not to like. We will be back.
Nice place good food good service. Chairs could do with a few repairs or just replace them all told great piece of fish. Worth a visit thankyou.
Visitors to the area. This was the only fish and chips takeaway open mid day. Food was good and generous sizes.
Never had a bad meal here yet - and we have been coming here on and off for many years now. There is always a warm service backed up with the tastiest cod and chips. Good choice of other dishes are available and the establishment also has a take away service too. Although we tend to dine in.
Fabulous food whilst out on a bike ride, friendly and chatty staff, great service and really good value. Thank you.
After a busy day out we decided to get Fish and chips for tea. We didn't really know where to go. We are so happy we found Squires. It has a lovely large seating area but we wanted to go back to our Holiday Park so we got takeaway. It was absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked fresh, no soggy batter or greasy chips. Just delicious. Excellent service too. Would definitely go back there.
You can't go wrong with their classic fish and chips, particularly the large cod. Also, try the prawn cocktail for a flavorful starter, and don't miss the banana fritter for dessert.
